Lummus Park

Lummus Park is the oldest open, green space in Miami and was constructed in 1909. Today, it is probably the busiest park in the whole Miami. For it’s location, you can not miss it. It is located right between South Beach and Ocean Drive (Art Deco District). Most of the buildings on the Ocean drive were build before 1926.

Lummus Park

Park itself serves it’s purpose well, many people are cooling down under the palm trees during the hot day. Paved roads are full of people running, longboarding, roller skating or hiking. Restrooms, beach showers and water fountains are pretty much everywhere. There are number of volleyball courts or outdoor gym. Newly, there is also a playground for children.

If you are visiting Miami Beach, you will most likely not going to miss it. Best thing you can do is just walk over here from your hotel, because finding parking on one of the busiest streets in Miami beach could be quite difficult. You will possibly hear every language you can imagine here. Lummus Park is alway filled with energy!
